Abbeyfield houses are either purpose-built or adapted from existing buildings with added facilities to make them suitable. 

Abbeyfield aims to provide a supportive environment. Residents who need help with their cleaning, laundry or personal care can arrange this.

For residents who need more support than can be provided in a supported sheltered house, Abbeyfield Wales has 2 care homes. These have qualified nursing staff on duty throughout the day and night to provide assistance. Residents can get help with washing, dressing, mobility and all aspects of personal care and support.
